She get into the heart of each character and brings them to life, warts and all. What really show throughout these books, whichever the character being presented, is that Debora has done her homework. Differences are honoured and accepted, not easily in all cases, but those who are unable to accept differences at first are able to admit the problem lies not with the other but within themselves. They show the benefit of working together as a group while accepting the need to able to stand alone. Within these pages, the people of the Modern Witch books address the ethics of having "superpowers". It's not all candy floss and fluff though either. And while I don't enter online gaming worlds, I would love to be able to spend an afternoon strolling through the witch-only areas of vitual Ream. I even want to sit in a yarn shop with Caro and her knitting group, although I have no idea how to knit. I want to drink tea with Moira and listen to her stories and words of wisdom. I want to sit around a table eating nutella cookies with Nell and her family. When I get to the end of a book, I am hit with sadness because I don't want to leave these characters behind. What you get are every day people, going through their lives in every day ways, but with the added element of being able to do magic. No murders, no uberworld creatures of the night roaming the streets. The plots and characters within the pages of the Modern Witch book series are a far cry from a lot of the modern urban fantasy hitting the bookshelves these days.

I guess because of this it shouldn't be surprising that he feels the need to control things in sexual situations as well which is why Ivan feels comfortable with BDSM, as a Dom he has control. He has a strict schedule and regulation of most things in his life in an effort to control the world around him. He reminds me of a hotter version of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Reynolds leads the reader in a dance through the poet’s biography, his lesser-known works and, of course, through the Comedy. The result - Dante: The Poet, the Thinker, the Man - is wondrous, whether you agree with her assessments or not. Towards the end of her long academic career as one of the world’s premier Dante scholars, Barbara Reynolds wrote what she called a “portrait” of Dante, filled with self-proclaimed radical and controversial ideas. Many publishers look for "literary quality with commercial appeal," and that's exactly my "both barrels" approach to your project. Query feedback and market analysis of your project are included with every edit. I also bring my background as a literary agent to the table. I believe this is a very powerful way to hook readers into your story. My specialty is interiority, or rendering a character's perspective on the page. My approach is extremely comprehensive, with a deep focus on character, voice, plot, and other elements of the writing craft. While I'm best known for editing children's books (picture books, middle grade, young adult), I work in all fiction categories and genres, as well as memoir. I bring over a decade of publishing industry experience to every edit. My book, Writing Irresistible Kidlit, a writing reference guide for middle grade and young adult writers, is available from Writer's Digest Books. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing and have worked at Chronicle Books, the Andrea Brown Literary Agency, and Movable Type Management. I'm a former literary agent and provide consulting and developmental editing services to writers of all categories and genres, working on children’s book projects from picture book to young adult, and all kinds of trade market literature, including fantasy, sci-fi, romance and memoir. I wanted to be a comics artist when I grew up, and between the ages of 9 and 14, I drew daily comics about my life instead of keeping a diary.I first started writing because I created such elaborate tableaus of make-believe while playing pretend as a child I needed to write them down in order to keep my storylines straight.I learned both Quenya and Sindarin in high school.I am BTS OT7, although I consider myself Jin sun, Jungkook moon, and Jimin rising.
